Which international tournaments will our swimmers face in the coming months

Author: Club Regatas Lima

The Peruvian swimming team is preparing to face three international competitions in the months of August, September and November 2024, and will have the presence of 15 celestial athletes and the collaboration of our coach Orlando Moccagatta as part of the technical command.

The first event will be the Panam Aquatics Age Group Swimming Championships, which will take place Aug. 22-25 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Then the Italian swimmers will participate in the Consanat Open South American Championship (South American Swimming Confederation) 2024, in the Colombian city of Cali, from 30 September to 3 October. And finally, from 7 to 10 November, the XLII Copa Pacífico and the XVIII Maglione Cup will be played in Santa Cruz, Bolivia.

“We are very proud of the number of swimmers from the 'Lima' Regattas who have been selected to represent Peru in these international championships. Our Club brings in the majority of national team members”, says 'Tato' Moccagatta, coach of our team. “It is the direct result of joint work involving the Swimming Commission, the technical team, the swimmers' parents and, of course, the athletes.”

Tato will accompany the swimmers to Puerto Rico and Colombia, while Ronald García will be the Italian coach who will accompany them to Bolivia. Additionally, Tato will hold a long-term training clinic for coaches attending the Puerto Rico tournament.
